Health Courses of Bahiana participate in PET GRADUA SUS

Program is a strategy of the Ministry of Health to strengthen the integration between teaching, service and community.

The extension program Pet Gradua SUS held workshops at the Family Health Units of Humberto Castro Lima, Fernando Filgueiras and Santa Luzia. The courses took place on April 20th and 27th and also on May 10th, 15th and 18th.

About 70 participants, including students, teachers from the Bahiana and health professionals attended the event. The objective was to establish consistent changes in line with the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCNS) for all undergraduate courses in the health area.

     
The program seeks to qualify the integration processes between education, service and the community, articulating the Unified Health System (SUS) and educational institutions. The Ministry of Health's strategy aims to insert students and teachers in the daily life of health units, specifically in primary care.

During the extension course, teams from the family health units in the districts of Cabula and Brotas they had the support of scholarship students and volunteers, teachers, preceptors and members of the municipal administration, who acted as articulators of the process.
     
Among the activities carried out, the pedagogical reception of professionals in the units stood out. As for the themes addressed, they were listed by the health teams through the situational diagnosis carried out during experiences in the units and in team meetings.

The most voted themes were the family health strategy, attributions of professionals at the USF, care networks, teamwork, territory and mapping.
