Home Orientation and Exercises Program for People with HAM/TSP

Physiotherapy Course opens registration for extension activities.

Share

From May 1st to May 20th, Physiotherapy students will be able to register for the Home Orientation and Exercises Program for People with HAM/TSP.

The extension activity expands the technical, scientific and humanist training of undergraduates, promoting education and qualified work with responsibility and social commitment. The proposal extends the experience of PET-Physiotherapy, which lasted a year and successfully applied the training in the booklet "Guidelines and Exercises for People with HAM/TSP", developed by the Research Group on Dynamics of the Neuromusculoskeletal System.

The weekly group sessions, with six people, will be held at the Advanced Clinic in Physiotherapy (CAFIS) and followed by appropriate dynamics to ensure the loyalty of the execution and maintenance of home exercises, encouraging self-care and autonomy of the participants. The program was designed based on scientific evidence applied to real practical conditions articulated in teaching, research and extension.
