Public Selection of Proposals for Granting Scientific Initiation Jr Scholarships for Scientific Research Projects - 2007

1. General Information
1.1. objective

It is intended for high school students, regularly enrolled in public schools located in the State of Bahia, for the development of research initiation activities, supervised by an experienced researcher, who meets the requirements defined in this Notice

Delivery of selected documents by 06/6/2007
Forwarding to FAPESB the documentation of the candidates approved on 08/6/2007

1.3. Number of vacancies

FAPESB COTA -15 (fifteen) Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarships (ICJr)

1.4. from the candidate

Have good student development, as evidenced by school records
Being enrolled in the 2nd year of high school
Dedicate at least 08 hours a week to the project
Not having an employment relationship, of any nature, during the entire term of the grant
Not be benefited by another scholarship of any kind, during the entire term of the FAPESB scholarship

1.5. from the advisor

The researcher must meet the following requirements to be a Junior Scientific Initiation student advisor
To be a researcher with outstanding scientific productivity, with a minimum Master's degree obtained in a Postgraduate Program stricto sensu, recognized by CAPES, or formally validated in Brazil, if obtained abroad
Have full-time employment or Exclusive Dedication with EBMSP/FBDC
Be part of a Research Group registered in the Directory of Research Groups of the CNPq of the EBMSP/FBDC and/or of an associated research institution.
Have a curriculum on the Platform Lattes

1.6. Duration and Deadlines

The duration of the scholarship is 12 (twelve) months, not exceeding the regular time of the high school course. Renewal for another 12 (twelve) months is subject to a new request from the scholarship holder, accompanied by the final technical report, at the discretion of the teaching/research institution, within the institution's annual quota for the new year.
During the period of validity of the scholarship, the scholarship holders can be substituted, only once, upon request of the supervisor and express authorization of the teaching/research institution, respecting the foreseen duration.
Scholarship replacement will not be allowed due to completion of the high school course

2.0. Submission of Proposals

At registration, submit 2 copies of the following documents:
REGISTRATION online candidate's form (Portal Fapesb)
REGISTRATION online supervisor's print (Portal Fapesb)
Form online scholarship program, in the specific modality - printed (Portal Fapesb) - (If the spaces are not enough and the assessment by the consultants is impaired, attach the advisor's research project)
Résumé lath complete and updated advisor (Platform printout Lattes)
Candidate's school record for high school

3.0. Analysis and Judgment

The selection of proposals submitted to EBMSP/FBDC, in compliance with this Notice, will comply with the judgment criteria of the Selection Committee, which must include a representative appointed by FAPESB. The evaluation of the proposals will be carried out by at least two evaluators.

4.0. Results of the Judgment and Implementation of Scholarships
The results will be published on the FBDC institutional homepage (http://www.fbdc.edu.br/) and FAPESB (http://www.fapesb.ba.gov.br/), at the same time, it is up to the candidates to inform themselves about them.
After the result, a copy of the proposal will be available to unselected candidates, at EBMSP, in Nazaré. After the 30-day period, the proposals will be discarded.

5.0. Monitoring and Final Evaluation

a) EBMSP/FBDC reserves the right at any time to request additional information or documents deemed necessary for the evaluation and monitoring of the proposals.
b) The researcher will demonstrate the evolution of the work of the fellow(s), through semiannual reports, regardless of request, sent to the Institutional Coordination of the Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program of EBMSP/FBDC, which, in turn, will forward to FAPESP the result of the evaluations. Failure to comply with this item may lead to suspension or cancellation of the scholarship.

6.0. Revocation or Annulment of the Notice

At any time, this Notice may be revoked or annulled, in whole or in part, including the resources allocated to it by unilateral decision of FBDC, for reasons of public interest or legal requirement, without this implying rights to indemnity or claim of any kind.

Proposals must be filed with the Secretariat of EBMSP, Academic Unit Nazaré, under the care of Mrs. Graça Cerqueira, within the deadline established until 14.05.2007.
Proposals that do not agree with this notice will not be judged.
