Public Selection of Proposals for Granting Scientific Initiation Scholarships for Scientific Research Projects - 2007
1.1. objective
It is intended for undergraduate students, regularly enrolled in EBMSP courses to develop research initiation activities, supervised by an experienced researcher, who fulfills the requirements defined in this Notice.

1.3. Number of vacancies
FAPESB COTA -30 (thirty) scientific initiation scholarships
1.4. Candidate
Have good academic performance, evidenced by academic record
Having completed the 2nd semester of the Undergraduate Course
Dedicate at least 20 hours a week to the project
Not having an employment relationship, of any nature, during the entire term of the grant
Present the research results in the form of an oral presentation at the Scientific Initiation Journey promoted by EBMSP/FBDC
Have an updated curriculum on the Lattes 1.5 Platform. from the advisor
Researcher must meet the following requirements to be advisor of Scientific Initiation students;
To be a researcher with outstanding scientific productivity, with a minimum Master's degree obtained in a stricto sensu Postgraduate Program recognized by CAPES, or formally validated in Brazil, if obtained abroad
Have an employment relationship with EBMSP/FBDC full-time or exclusive dedication
Join the Research Group of the EBMSP/FBDC or partner institution, registered in the Directory of Research Groups of CNPq
Have an updated curriculum on the Lattes Platform
NOTE: IC scholarships will only be granted to students guided by PRODOC/DCR scholarship holders if these scholarship holders are in the 1st or 2nd year of the said scholarship
1.6. Duration and Deadlines
The duration of the scholarship is 12 (twelve) months, as long as it does not exceed the regular graduation time in that course. Renewal for another 12 (twelve) months is subject to a new request by the scholarship holder, accompanied by the Final Technical Report, at the discretion of the educational/research institution to which the student is linked, within the institution's annual quota provided for the new year.
During the period of the scholarship, the scholarship holders can be replaced only once, upon request of the advisor and express authorization of the educational/research institution to which the student is linked (quota institutions), respecting the foreseen duration.
It will not be allowed to replace a scholarship holder due to graduation.

Research project, in which the participation of the grantee must be very clear, in the model in annex 2 (REGISTRATION FORM).
NOTES:
The proposal must clearly define the participation of the scholarship holder in the development of the project
Each researcher may submit several proposals for granting the scholarship, however only a maximum of two proposals can be approved by each applicant researcher.
All documents referring to item 2.0 must be submitted in 2 (two) copies.
3.0. Analysis and Judgment
The judgment of the proposals will be carried out by at least two professors from the School, designated by the EBMSP Scientific Initiation Scholarship Coordination and will receive a score in accordance with ANNEX 01 (BAREMA)
The final analysis of the proposals submitted to EBMSP/FBDC will follow the judgment criteria of the Final Selection Committee, which must include a representative appointed by FAPESB.
Tiebreaker:
By school record score
Not having benefited from a previous scholarship
Have exercised monitoring in a subject that makes up the curriculum of the EBMSP/FBDC courses
If the tie persists, the Selection Committee will have autonomy to propose other forms of tiebreakers.
4.0. Results of the Judgment and Implementation of Scholarships
The results will be published on the institutional homepage of EBMSP/FBDC (http://www.fbdc.edu.br/) and FAPESB (http://www.fapesb.ba.gov.br/), simultaneously, fitting candidates to inform themselves about them.
After the result, a copy of the proposal will be available to unselected candidates, at EBMSP, in Nazaré. After the 30-day period, the proposals will be discarded.
5.0. Monitoring and Final Evaluation
1. a) The grantee will present the evolution of their research work at the Scientific Initiation Journey promoted by the EBMSP, in oral presentations, with the support of the researcher.
2. b) The grantee must submit, regardless of request, with the advisor's signature, a partial (6 months) and final report, in an online printed form from FAPESB, to the EBMSP Scientific Initiation Scholarship Coordination, at the Nazaré Academic Unit, which forwarded to FAPESB. Failure to comply with this clause will result in the suspension of the scholarship or its cancellation.
3. c) EBMSP/FBDC reserves the right at any time to request additional information or documents deemed necessary for the evaluation and monitoring of proposals.6.0. Revocation or Annulment of the Notice
At any time, this Notice may be revoked or annulled, in whole or in part, including the resources allocated to it by unilateral decision of FBDC, for reasons of public interest or legal requirement, without this implying rights to indemnity or claim of any kind.

On the FAPESB Portal, the candidate can find, in the Scholarship Program, the online form for printing.
In the Scholarship Manual (FAPESB Portal), in the General Instructions, the selected candidate will have the list of documents necessary for the 3rd stage of the process.
Proposals must be filed with the Secretariat of EBMSP, Academic Unit Nazaré, under the care of Mrs. Graça Cerqueira until 14.05.2007.
Proposals that do not comply with the items in this notice will not be judged.
