Bahiana holds a Course for Pregnant Women

From the 22nd to the 26th of May, in the morning (8am to 11:30am), the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública promotes another free course for pregnant women and their families, at the Academic Unit Brotas.

The program is open to the community and aims to expand the field of care, promoting a space for interaction between academia and the community, disclosing specific information to pregnant women, family members and caregivers regarding prenatal care and questions during the gestational period . The activity also allows medical students from the Bahiana insert themselves in the context of Public Health as promoters of preventive health, thus favoring the perception of the student in the care process.

During the program, educational lectures and interactive activities will be promoted, on topics related to a healthy pregnancy, such as the birth event, postpartum period, breastfeeding, care for the newborn and bonding with the baby.

30 places will be made available and the course will be open to the community. Registration information will be made available by calling (71) 3276-8277, at the Academic Support Service.
