Conceived by professors Gustavo Siquara and Milena Pondé, coordinators of LABIRINTO (Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory in Autism), the event will cover the theme "Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD): interdisciplinarity as a necessity" and aims to present and discuss the main themes related to diagnosis and interventional methods in ASD, in addition to integrating different professional knowledge in the diagnosis and intervention of the disorder with a focus on quality of life, developing a discussion network for the improvement of care for people with the disorder.

Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism spectrum disorder is a chronic health condition in which people with this condition have alterations in three main axes: delays in verbal and non-verbal communication, social interaction and repetitive behaviors.

Clinical diagnosis and interventions require careful assessment by different professionals, from different perspectives in the search for evidence that better explain the situation presented. Treatment and early stimulation need to be carried out from different practices in line with the needs of the person with ASD.
