Master's and Doctorate in Medicine and Human Health: open enrollment

Enrollment is open for the 2016 selection process, from September 26th to November 18th, for the Post-Graduate Course in Medicine and Human Health – Master's / Doctorate, from Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. 17 places will be made available for the master's and 8 for the doctorate.

To enter the master's area, the necessary prerequisite is the certificate of completion of the undergraduate course in medicine or other professions in the health area, recognized by the MEC and, for the doctorate, a master's degree in health will be mandatory, in course recognized by MEC, with article submission for dissertation defended within nine months and acceptance letter or article published for dissertation defended for more than ten months. Without a master's degree, two articles published in the last three years in a medical journal indexed in an international bibliographic database (Medline) will be required, one of them, necessarily, as the first author.

The course aims to deepen technical, scientific and ethical knowledge aimed at training human resources for the best exercise of research, teaching and assistance using the methodology of "problem-based learning" and the ability to "evaluate scientific evidence" and, in the doctorate, the purpose is to develop the ability to research with autonomy and originality and to add new knowledge.
