Bahiana promotes I Immersion Course in Surgical Anatomy

The course was held in partnership with the Health Department of the State of Bahia (SESAB).

From August 26th to 28th, the I Immersion Course in Surgical Anatomy, carried out by the Center for Teaching and Research in Anatomy (NEPA) of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, at Hospital Geral Clériston Andrade (HGCA), in Feira de Santana.

A partnership of Bahiana with the Bahia State Health Department (SESAB), the course had as participants general surgery residents and interns at the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS).

Lasting 20 hours, the course allowed for a deeper understanding of essential anatomical principles for performing emergency medical procedures, enabling professionals to improve medical care for the community.


According to the coordinator of NEPA, Professor Rinaldo Barros, events like this allow professionals to offer adequate medical assistance to the population. "Through this partnership between NEPA and SESAB, it will always be possible to believe in continuing medical education, always allowing for a closer relationship between undergraduate and graduate residency programs."


NEPA Awards 

Another action of the Center for Teaching and Research in Anatomy (NEPA) was the participation in the XXVII Brazilian Congress of Anatomy, which took place from 20 to 23 July, in Natal (RN), where it presented 15 works, two of which were awarded in the category free themes:
