Teachers and students of the Bahiana participate in the International Symposium in Belo Horizonte

Throughout the program, workshops and presentations of scientific papers were given.

From June 8th to 11th, the XVIII International Symposium on Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and Intensive Care Physiotherapy (SIFR) was held at Minascentro, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.

During the program, students and teachers of the Physiotherapy course at Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública attended significantly, together with members of the Research Group on Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiotherapy of the Bahiana (GEPFIR), totaling 19 participants, including undergraduate professors from Bahiana, Cristiane Dias, Gleide Glícia, Patrícia Alcântara, Mayana Bião, Ana Lúcia Góes, Fleury Neto, Givanildo Nascimento, Francisco Oliveira and Luciana Bilitário.

 

 

The professors actively participated in the congress, with a workshop on the Reformulation of the National Curriculum Guidelines in Physiotherapy given by the coordinator of the Luciana Bilitário course, together with Prof. Elisa Sonehara from Rio Grande do Norte and specialist professors in the field from across the country, for the formulation of a Recommendation of the Brazilian Association of Cardiorespiratory and ICU Physiotherapy for the Brazilian Association of Physiotherapy Teaching, preparing a document of recommendations for teaching in the area.

Course professors and former students of the Master's in Medicine and Human Health and Health Technologies at Bahiana presented scientific papers in free oral and poster format, as well as acted as evaluators on these themes. Undergraduate students also participated in the symposium, including four scientific initiation scholarship holders, totaling eight scientific papers presented.
