Launch of the Agents of Full Life Cooperative takes place in Pau da Lima

On June 2, the launch of the Agentes de Vida Plena handcraft cooperative at the Vida Plena Community Complex in Pau da Lima. The cooperative works with recycled products, proposing conscious and sustainable production and is made up of a group of women from the neighborhood who are part of the project maintained by Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública and by the Holon Society.

The event was attended by professors, students and employees of the Bahiana, in addition to representatives of the community of Pau da Lima.

The Full Life Agent project was created with the purpose of promoting the development of human potential, strengthening a social support network in the community of Pau da Lima, enhancing health promotion actions and sensitizing the female population to carry out social action, in order to foster empowerment.

The Agentes de Vida Plena handicraft cooperative was created with the purpose of generating income, strengthening and welcoming agents of Vida Plena.

As women make up the majority of the Brazilian population, the guarantee of rights, however, does not assume the same proportion and teacher Karine Santana, project coordinator, emphasizes that in a historically patriarchal and sexist society, the fragility and competitiveness placed must be deconstructed. about women.

“Sorority is an excellent strategy to foster empowerment and make women develop, together, strategies to establish the guarantee of rights, especially the right to decide for themselves”, she concludes.
