On the eve of the celebration of its 64 years, the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública was recognized, once again, as one of the five best companies to work for, in Bahia, according to the international organization Instituto Great Place to Work (GPTW). The award ceremony took place this Monday night, May 30, at the Casa do Comércio Events Hall, in Salvador, and was attended by the Dean of Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani and the institution's Human Resources manager, Telma Bastos, who together received the GPTW 2015 award, in whose ranking the Bahiana was ranked 5th among 10 recognized companies.

"We will celebrate 65 years in 2017 and the good thing about it is the people. This award is a way for us to make an assessment and show how much people recognize the Bahiana as a place that is good to be in, has a pleasant atmosphere to work and people do it in a happy way. So, celebrating 65 years like this is sensational, because the Bahiana that's what these people do!", celebrated the Dean of Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani.

"We have been among the best companies to work for three years in Bahia and we only sustain this result because we are truly an institution focused on people and this is genuine, it is in essence. We are an institution focused on the social area and that does that so that people feel engaged in the process and identify themselves. Policies are perceived as working in the institution. People are happier, in any environment, this state of solidarity can be seen. Bahiana has, and repeatedly winning this award is proof of that. He is the evidence of what we are. However, we have something to learn. As much as we develop people, we have to focus on growing together. Now, we are going to seek new growth goals and new achievements, in addition to making this result mirror on the employee himself", declared the Human Resources manager at Bahiana, Telma Bastos.

They were also representing the Bahiana the medical director of the Teaching-Assistance Clinic of the Bahiana, Dr. Humberto Castro Lima Filho, the coordinator of Administration and Finance, Emanoel Olimpio Alves de Souza, the Pro-Rector of Research and Innovation, Prof. Atson Fernandes, the Dean of Extension, Prof. Carolina Pedroza, the Quality Manager, Luciana Branco, the Performance and Benefits supervisor, Pollianna Carvalho Leal, the financial manager, Cláudio Costa and the People Development supervisor, Alana Ax Coast.
