Bahiana performs the XNUMXst Homeopathy Journey

Pharmacists, dentists and physicians participated, on May 20 and 21, in the I Journey of Homeopathy na Bahiana What happened at the Academic Unit Brotas. The event marked the beginning of the activities of the Latu Sense specialization course of the Graduate Program of Bahiana, whose first class completed their work in March of this year.

Over the two days, the participants had contact with the themes Basics of Homeopathy, Application of Homeopathy for Dentistry and Medicine, Stomatitis/Homeopathic Treatment, Repertory Techniques and Homeopathic Philosophy.

The opening class was given by the co-coordinator of the specialization course of the Bahiana, dentistry professor and coordinator of the Associação Paulista de Homeopatia, Mário Giorgi, who addressed the theme Bases of Homeopathy.

According to the course coordinator, Prof. Mônica Oliveira, “we are carrying out this journey by inviting dentists, as they achieved recognition in the homeopathy specialty in December 2015 and we are the only ones in the state of Bahia with a postgraduate degree also focused on Dentistry and Homeopathy. So, the journey had this purpose of publicizing and showing how the course is, how our work within the Bahiana".

An example of this, the pediatrician, Gisele Guimarães, says that she is already working as a homeopath in her office. “The course was very valid, we had a very good learning experience. We had good teachers who came as guests. It really provided what we needed, which is essential to work with homeopathy, which is a specialty that we do not see in the medical course”.

Regarding the first group, the course coordinator says that teachers, doctors who are already working with homeopathy, participated. “The course really made a difference. They are already working in their clinical practice, who graduated with a very good result, with bank defense”. She adds that the course does not have a limited profile, being aimed at physicians, dentists and pharmacists, as it is necessary to develop multidisciplinary work.


COURSE

With 670 hours, the specialization course in Homeopathy of Bahiana it has doctors, dentists and pharmacists in its student body. For each professional, a workload is carried out in an outpatient clinic, where the participants first follow the appointments and then begin to assist under the supervision of teachers. In all, there are 190 hours for medical professionals, 100 hours for dentists and 60 for pharmacists, in which case the outpatient clinic is carried out in homeopathic pharmacies.
