CEDETE Manager is the newest member of CA-RUTE

On the morning of April 25, the manager of the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE) of the Bahiana, Prof. Antonio Carlos Costa, took office as a member of the Advisory Committee of the University Telemedicine Network (CA-RUTE). The inauguration took place nationwide, through a web conference, conducted by the national coordinator of RUTE, Luiz Ary Messina and broadcast on Bahiana, in the videoconference room of CEDETE, Academic Unit Brotas. Present were the coordinator of People Development, Luiza Ribeiro, the manager of the Institutional and International Relations Center, Maria Antonieta Araújo, the Academic-Pedagogical Advisor for the Graduate Program, Silvia Passos, the Planning Analyst, Maristela Oliveira and the Manager of the Information Technology Nucleus, Cláudio Santos who at the time also took office as an alternate member of CA-RUTE.

The Advisory Committee of RUTE is linked to the National Research Network RNP and is established as a consultative entity formed by experts invited by the National Coordination of RUTE, with the purpose of supporting the operational decision-making of the Network.

As a member of CA-RUTE, Prof. Antonio Carlos assumes the functions of participating in the ordinary and extraordinary sessions of the CA; assist in the elaboration, when necessary, and approve procedures and rules for the operation of the community; approve the creation of Special Interest Groups – SIGs; approve the accession of new members who spontaneously request membership to RUTE and annually reassess all membership grants, SIGs and RUTE procedures.

"In 2008, when we started to be part of the SIGs, we have seen these initiatives with great importance in the scope of continuing education. We have brought our students and we have a project that, within the curriculum of the courses, can be computed for their presence in the classes and lectures from the SIGs as part of the course load. We greatly appreciate this invitation, because throughout our process of acceptance and participation in RUTE, we had the full support of Prof. Luiz Messina", declared Prof. Antonio Carlos Costa.
