A professor from a Colombian institution participates in a web conference with students from Bahiana

"Psychology, Diversity and Health" was the theme of a meeting coordinated by Professor Monica Daltro. The initiative aims to promote the integration and development of Latin American psychology.

On March 8, the Psychology course at Bahiana held a web conference with Professor Francis Galvan from the Cooperative University of Colombia (Barrancabermeja). The lecture was broadcast live in the videoconference room of the Educational Technology Development Center (CEDETE). 

The program had the theme "Specificities of Psychology in Latin America" ​​and brought together academics from the 9th semester linked to the research group of Bahiana "Psychology, Diversity and Health", coordinated by Professor Monica Daltro.


Latin American academic and institutional networks

The initiative is part of the project for the construction of a markedly Latin American identity psychology, in which several educational and research institutions from the continent participate and where the Bahiana is present with the interaction of Prof. Mônica Daltro.

The project is composed of 60 students from the following educational institutions: University of Puebla (Mexico), Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública (Brazil), University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and University of Guayaquil (Ecuador). The project activities consist of meetings between psychology students, via Skype, for five weeks and aim at exchanging experiences on the training processes in the field of Psychology in their countries.
