Mutirão against Aedes Aegypti

On February 26, the Vida Plena Community Complex (CCVP) carried out an action to combat the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, in the neighborhood of Pau da Lima. The initiative took place through a partnership between the CCVP, the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, the Municipal Health Department and local community leaders.

On the occasion, information leaflets were distributed, focal vector control activities were carried out with the use of larvicide and perifocal control through spraying, educational activities on the streets with home visits and in commercial establishments.

There were also lectures for 110 teenagers from Escola Estadual Daniel Lisboa and a theater activity for 150 children from Escola Nossa Gente.

The action, which includes one of the strategies to combat the mosquito in the territory of Pau da Lima, developed by the CCVP, was carried out by the Agents of Full Life /CCVP/Bahiana and by the Endemic Agents of the Municipal Health Department, under the coordination of professor Karine Santana.
