The graduates of the Nursing course at Bahiana, Laisa Santos Araújo Lima and Vanessa Jesus Batista have just been approved for the Residency program at Hospital Sírio Libanês, in São Paulo. While they were undergraduate students, the two nurses stood out for their intense work in curricular internships and in other institutions.

Laisa Santos Araujo Lima

Laisa Santos Araújo Lima declares that she is making a dream come true and that the practical classes she participated in during the course were decisive for the success in the selection process. "During college, I developed a love for the operating room, first for the professors and second for the internships! When I finished college, I looked for selection processes in the area, that's when I had the opportunity to take the exam for residency at Hospital Sírio Libanês. It was an experience rewarding, consisting of three stages, the objective test, practical test and curriculum evaluation. As I took the tests, I was remembering a lot of the practical classes we had throughout the course and all this helped me a lot! Bahiana, an institution that I love, and the professors for preparing us so well and encouraging us to always look for the best!", he celebrates.

Vanessa Jesus the Baptist

Nurse Vanessa Jesus Batista says that since she graduated, in 2014.2, she plans to do a residency and that she never took a preparatory course, as she trusted in her knowledge acquired during graduation. "Since I entered college I have had the opportunity to do an extracurricular internship at an oncology clinic, both in more administrative actions, contributing to the accreditation process, and in direct nursing care, which is why I chose the area of "Patient care Oncology". The internship at ADAB with Prof. Aidê Nunes da Silva provided me with a very enriching experience in Primary Care and, without a doubt, my curricular internship at Roberto Santos with Prof. Cristiane Magali helped me to have more security, which contributed a lot in the second phase of the selection process for Hospital Sírio Libanês. In the interview, they asked about my college and I was proud to say that I was from Bahiana!" declares Vanessa.
