ParaPraia will continue at Ondina beach after Carnival

Initiative promotes inclusion and leisure for people with disabilities and their families.

After the break for the carnival, ParaPraia will return to Ondina beach for four more weekends (February 13 to 02/06). The project, which promotes assisted bathing and leisure for the disabled and people with reduced mobility, tells with the participation of students and professors from the Physiotherapy and Nursing courses and academic leagues of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública.

 

 

According to the coordinator of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies at Bahiana, Prof. Maria de Lourdes Freitas, the Bahiana reaffirms its commitment and social responsibility by promoting projects such as ParaPraia, enabling students and teachers to have a different experience in life. "We managed to do a job in a calm way, putting ourselves in the other's shoes, raising issues such as empathy, teamwork and encompassing several courses with teachers directly participating in the entire process, facilitating this dialogue between the student and the bathers" , ends.
