During Saturday and Sunday, the Academic League of Physiotherapy in Orthopedics and Sports (LAFORTE) will also be present carrying out various activities with the public, such as general guidelines for caregivers, in order to improve posture and self-care in the mobility of bathers with physical disability and restricted mobility, thus reducing the incidence of accidents.

On the occasion, the program will have the structure of an adapted mini volleyball court, expanding the practice of physical activity also for children and the elderly.

According to the coordinator of LAFORTE and professor of the Physiotherapy course at Bahiana, Ana Lucia Góes, volleyball is a collective activity that provides interaction and integration between individuals.

“The objective of the league is to show the benefits of practicing sports, regardless of the individual's limitations. There will always be a sport suitable for a certain limitation”, he explains.

On the weekend that ParaPraia opened, on January 16th and 17th, the program had the participation of Anjos da Enfermagem, developing playful activities with the participants, as well as the Academic League of Dermato-Functional that guided the skin care during exposure to the sun.
