XNUMXst Integrated Physical Training Workshop in Bahia

Share

On April 18, the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública staged the XNUMXst Integrated Physical Training Workshop in Bahia - From Theory to Practice at the Cabula Academic Unit.

The event was coordinated by the Physical Education teacher, Clarcson Plácido Conceição dos Santos and aimed to bring together professors and students from various colleges in order to improve their knowledge of the fundamentals of applied integrated physical training.

In the program, lectures were given by professors Paulo Rodrigo Santos, graduated in Physical Education, Valdemar Caumo Junior, physiotherapist, physiologist and graduated in Physical Education, and Glauco Correa, graduated in Physical Education, who explained about pertinent subjects to the area, such as: physiological analysis in functional exercise, biomechanics applied to integrated physical training, methods related to myofascial release, circuit training, planning and organization of physical training and evaluation of integrated physical training, among others.

Professor Clarcson Plácido reports that the objective of the workshop is that, at the end of the course, students have a slightly broader notion of how to apply physical exercise thinking about joint function and muscle activity.

“Today, we are going to have an event here that is related to a training that we call integrated. We foresee the proposal of perceiving the exercise taking into account the joint, the joint function and the muscular activity. So, it will be a 10-hour workshop in which, in the morning, we will do the theoretical part with themes subdivided every hour and, in the afternoon, with practical workshops, in which the foundation of the morning will be put into practice ”, explains the teacher.

Speaker Paulo Rodrigo reports that the purpose of the program is to work on knowledge about integrated physical training.

“This approach is innovative since the individual is seen as a complex being in their joint, muscle and other structures that were normally not taken into account when prescribing physical exercise. Therefore, we are going to talk from the structural elements of the body, but always with a broad approach of integrating these structures, not isolation anymore”, says Paulo.

The 7th semester student of the Physical Education course at Jorge Amado explains that the workshop proposal is innovative and will bring a lot of knowledge to the students of the course in relation to physical training.

“The course is very useful and brings information that we don't have in the daily routine of the classroom. I already know Professor Clarcson and really coordinating a job like this is very enlightening and pertinent, totally escaping the standards we have in college, enriching our understanding even more”, he concludes.
