Bahiana promotes XNUMXst Advanced Strength Training Meeting

Programming brings together professionals and students of Physical Education.

“The Advanced Strength Training Meeting is an interesting milestone in the field of Physical Education, especially coming from a school like Bahiana which stands out in everything it produces. This event has the support of the course coordinator, Prof. Clarcson Plácido, a reference in the area and who wants the profession to grow and have a professional level of excellence”, reports Prof. M. Cláudio Roberto, who was present at the XNUMXst Advanced Strength Training Meeting, held last Saturday, September 19, at the Cabula Academic Unit, of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública.

The program was an initiative of the Physical Education course at Bahiana and it brought together students and professors from various institutions with the aim of disseminating methodologies and physical training tools to promote health, esthetics, nutrition and high performance.

“It is a privilege to have the presence of such outstanding professionals at our event. I was very happy to bring this type of discussion to our institution and offer it to people who are interested in discussing science, as the essence of our training goes through science training, from the moment we understand how this information can be translated into our professional practice”, explains coordinator Clárcson Plácido.

     


Throughout the event, mini-lectures were given on topics related to integrated strength training with specific topics that included correction of movements for greater power gains; applicability of integrated training vs. Isolated in the physical preparation of football; strength training, caloric expenditure and weight loss; neuromuscular adaptations of different heavy chain myosin isoforms, among other issues related to advanced strength training.

The event was attended by Prof. Bernardo Neme Ide, PhD candidate in Human Movement Biodynamics at LABEX and Master in Human Movement Biodynamics at UNICAMP; physiotherapist Fábio Arcanjo, specialist in Traumo-orthopedic Functional Physiotherapy, graduated from the Catholic University (UCSAL); Lucas Vinícius, physical trainer at Esporte Clube Vitória; the Prof. Randilson Menezes, Specialist in Physical Exercise Applied to Cardiac Rehabilitation and Special Groups, Prof. Dr. Jonato Prestes, Ph.D. in Physiological Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos, Glauco Correa, Professor of Physical Education (UCSAL) Specialist in Functional Training (UVA), Prof. Valdemar Calmo among others.

"The event is extremely interesting for bringing together qualified professionals in the area and teachers who are up to date in explaining the new trends in relation to strength training and new work methodologies for the training, qualification and development of athletes", explains the Academy teacher Active Life and volleyball athlete, Alba Oliveira do Carmo, 33 years old.

Physiotherapist Fábio Arcanjo, a specialist in Traumo-Orthopedic Functional Physiotherapy, reports that the event was very productive, as it allowed for integration between all professionals in the field of Physical Education. “The program is rich and allows access to up-to-date information based on scientific evidence and this promotes the growth of students, providing knowledge of up-to-date market practices and trends”, he explains.

“I am a student of the Physical Education course for the 1st semester and these lectures are very important for my academic training. I'm already doing an internship in the area and, based on all the subjects covered at the meeting, it will be very productive in my professional performance", comments Ingrid Tatiane, 1st semester student at Bahiana.
