“It's a lot of joy. An event that has grown so much and, since 15 years ago, it started discreetly and today is a grandiose event with many qualified scientific works. This is a time for gathering”. This is the definition that the director of Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, takes part in the Scientific and Cultural Exhibition, held on October 01st and 02nd, at the Cabula Academic Unit, which this year reached its 15th edition, encompassing the XIII Scientific Initiation Journey - PIBIC, V Forum of the Researchers and II Extension Exhibition with around 400 works registered.

“We have been together since the beginning of this project. Over these 15 years, more than three thousand works were presented within the institution. The exhibition managed to do what it set out to do and is doing much more than providing this internal integration between courses, the external community and faculties. Therefore, we achieve our holistic and pedagogical goal. We are doing good health beyond that, because culture, art and poetry are transforming the human being into someone better”, reports the coordinator of the Psychopedagogical Care Center (NAAP), Maria Angélica Mendes.

The program involved students, teachers and employees of the Bahiana, in addition to receiving visits from children from the Escola Municipal da Engomadeira. During the MCC, short courses, workshops, health promotion actions carried out at the institution were presented with various stands from academic leagues, in addition to presentations of the students' work throughout the program.

During the event, participants had the privilege of watching a grandiose presentation by NEOJIBÁ and a play promoted by the members of the Bahianescer group.

According to the Extension coordinator, Carolina Pedroza, the MCC is an event that brings together teaching, research and extension. “The exhibition brings together the research groups, which are groups from the School, recognized by the CNPq directory with the aim of exchanging ideas about their research, how to work together. It is a moment of exchange between the research groups.” , reports Carolina Pedroza.

"This event brings together the scientific exhibition, the scientific initiation meeting and the researchers' forum to disseminate the activities developed in the area of research and extension in the academic environment of the school, not only the school, but also bringing some guests and the community ”, explains the Post-Graduate and Undergraduate Coordinator, Prof. Maria de Lourdes Freitas.

There are many people involved in this process, in addition to coordinators, professors, employees, persons responsible for SEPSE services, directors, employees, everyone is involved. This is the 'paradise'”, concludes the People Development coordinator at Bahiana, Prof. Luiza Ribeiro.
