Bahiana promotes the 12th Health Fair of the Parish of Brotas

Health promotion, disease prevention, assistance and rehabilitation activities will be promoted to the population at the 12th Parish Health Fair of Brotas, which takes place on September 26 from 9 am to 16 pm, at the Parish Community Center, on Av. Dom João VI. The event is a realization of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública together with religious leaders and volunteers.

Professors and students from the courses of Medicine, Biomedicine, Physiotherapy and technicians from the Teaching-Assistance Clinic of Bahia (ADAB) will be part of the program that will feature several activities, including: measurement of capillary blood glucose, measurement of blood pressure, calculation of the index of body mass, guidance on dengue prevention, healthy eating, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STD), guidance on proper body posture, caries prevention.

The fair will also feature the presence of clinical physicians, gynecologists, pediatricians and professors of the Medicine course who will carry out consultations, screening and referrals for assistance at the ADAB, among other services aimed at promoting health.
