"Parasitology: past, present and future" is the theme of XXIV Congress of the Brazilian Society of Parasitology (XXIV CBP) and XXIII Latin American Congress of Parasitology – CLP/FLAP that take place from October 27th to 31st, at the Bahia Othon Palace in Salvador.
The congresses will feature the participation of renowned professors and researchers and a diversified scientific program covering human and animal parasites endemic in countries of the Americas. Will integrate the activities, the teachers of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, Artur Gomes Dias Lima, Geraldo Argolo (coordinator of the Biomedicine course) and Cristiane Magali (coordinator of the Nursing course).
The choice of the XXIV CBP theme “Parasitology: past, present and future” aims to carry out a broad discussion on the current challenges of parasitology and the factors that lead to the persistence, expansion, emergence and re-emergence of parasitic diseases in Brazil and the Americas, in addition to celebrating the XNUMXth anniversary of the SBP.
The congress will cover topics such as: taxonomy, biology, diagnosis, epidemiology, control, environmental and social aspects and the teaching of parasitology today.
