With that, we bet on the first class of the course that will have approximately 30 students. This project will form a completely different egress profile from the one that has been formed in the physical education scenario and, when I speak of a different profile, I am referring to the professional who has a more critical reasoning based on their area of expertise", declares Clarcson Placid.

For Paulo César Vieira, president of CREF, Bahia gains a lot with the launch of the Physical Education course at Bahiana and reports that the council received positive testimonials from all over Brazil regarding the news. “I think the Bahiana scores a goal by launching a bachelor's course in a different guise. With this, society ends up benefiting, as it will have professionals with a qualified education, with an opportunity to fit into an innovative model. We have a market for all areas, licentiate, bachelor's degree, and when academics leave college they should seek to qualify to conquer their space”.

The course is launched with the objective of adding value to the work of physical education professionals and, according to the professor at the Federal University of Bahia, Dr. Francisco Pitanga, the initiative of Bahiana is a milestone in the resumption of growth in physical education in Bahia. “The bachelor's degree will train a differentiated student, with specific training in the health area, and we really need professionals of this size so that society can have qualified work in the area. I am sure that the professional who leaves here will be able to meet the market's needs”, he concludes.

The coordinator of undergraduate and graduate education, Prof. Maria de Lourdes de Freitas Gomes, reports that the Bahiana bet on the course to improve people's quality of life, training professionals qualified for the market. "The Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Bahiana brings a focus on health promotion and I think this point is a differential. We will have a course added to a School dedicated to health, which already has other courses directed to the area and, in this way, we will establish an integrated, interdisciplinary work focused on health promotion”, he concludes.
