Professors and former students of the Medicine and Human Health Program participate in symposium

Professors of the Postgraduate Program at Bahiana, Dr. Ana Marice Teixeira, Dr. Luis Cláudio Lemos, Dr. Anderson Armstrong and Dr. Antônio Marconi, participated, on March 20 and 21, in the “VI Cardiovale – Symposium on Cardiology of the São Francisco Valley”, held at the municipality of Petrolina.

The program aimed to debate issues related to cardiology, such as: primary cardiovascular prevention, echocardiography and evidence-based medicine.

The event had the support of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology (SBC-PE) and had the participation of professors and former students of the Medicine and Human Health Program. 

In the schedule, in addition to the presentation of works by professors and students, lectures were given by professors João Lima, head of Medicine, Radiology and Epidemiology at Johns Hopikins University, Luís Cláudio Correia, associate professor of Cardiology at UFBA and by vice- presidents of SBC-PE, Sérgio Montenegro and Catarina Cavalcanti.
