Pre-Joba takes place at Bahiana

On April 16th, the Pre-Joba took place, at 17 pm, at the Academic Unit Cabula da Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública. The event is an official opening of the Odontological Journey of Bahiana (JOBA) and began its activities with lectures on endodontics, periodontics and implantology, given by professors João Dantas, Master in Dental Clinic and specialist in Endodontics and Sandro Bittencourt, Master and Doctor in Clinical Dentistry and Specialist in Periodontics.

The Endodontics teacher at Bahiana, Sueli Colombo bets on the success of JOBA and reports that the Pre-Joba is a moment of integration between students together with professors, among other faculties and different disciplines.

“In the presentation, we have two meetings, one on endodontics and one on surgery, but, in fact, we ended up integrating with other disciplines. We are going to address the diagnosis, urgent treatment, endoperal injury and surgical treatment”, he explains.

The JOBA student coordinator and 10th semester student of Dentistry at Bahiana, Flávia Godinho, explains that the Pré-Joba will be a spectacular event and the expectations are very good as it is an event that includes many students.

“The speakers are excellent and will deal with relevant issues such as endodontics, which is a specialty of the canal, together with periodontics, which are the tissues that support the tooth and a little bit of implant”, he says.

Student of the 2nd semester of the Dentistry course, Ana Caroline Noleto, 18 years old, bets that JOBA will be an enriching event for the enrichment of students and bets on Pre-Joba, which brings relevant and valid subjects about dentistry.

“The event brought great speakers and it was wonderful, as it brought didactic and broad subjects for our knowledge”, he concludes.
