"Health at Christmas" workshop brings together hundreds of elderly people in Pau da Lima

Last 04/12/2014, the workshop “Saúde no Natal” was held for the elderly in the community in Pau da Lima, at the Complexo Comunitário Vida Plena unit. The workshop had several activities given by the unit's physiotherapist and its interns, it also included a presentation of an information panel on the health of the elderly population of Pau da Lima and a presentation by the students' choir from Escola Nossa Gente.

The workshop took place under the coordination of Professor Eleonora Peixinho and Professor Karine Santana, as the conclusion of a work developed by students from the Tutorial Education Program-PET, in partnership with students from the Multiprofessional Residency in Elderly Health at Hospital Santo Antônio. Its main objective was to assess the adherence of the elderly in the unit to the use of medications and to make them aware of their use.
