Share

Students and professors of the Physiotherapy course started the year with an activity that makes the summer in Salvador a differential throughout the country. For the second time, the Bahiana participates in the ParaPraia project, an initiative of the Sustainable City Department, which promotes assisted bathing in the sea for the physically challenged and people with reduced mobility, on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:13 am to XNUMX:XNUMX pm, during the months of January and February.

This second edition began on January 3, at Ondina beach, where it continues until next Sunday (18). From the 24th, it will be the turn of the project to be received by Ribeira beach, where it will take place until the 8th of February.

Infrastructure

To enable bathing in the sea, the project offers a complete infrastructure with special toilets, parasols, tents and access lanes to the beach. Assisted bathing in the sea is possible with the use of amphibious chairs and the monitoring of students and teachers of the Physiotherapy course at Bahiana, lifeguards, physical educators and monitors.
