Bahiana participates in ABAMPS children's Christmas party

Donations collected in the A Rare Christmas campaign are given during the entity's get-together party

The effort and solidarity of the community Bahiana they revealed themselves in a big party that celebrated the Christmas of dozens of children assisted by the Bahia Association of Friends of Mucopolysaccharidoses and Rare Diseases (ABAMPS). Christmas Rare brought together children with rare diseases, their families, employees of ABAMPS and Bahiana, on December 13th, at the Sister Dulce Assistance Works Rehabilitation Center.

The party marked the delivery of donations from the A Christmas Rare campaign, held at the academic units of Bahiana, and was attended by Prof. Dr. Marcos Almeida who represented the institution at the time.

Rare Christmas Campaign

During the months of November and December, employees, teachers and students of the Bahiana participated in the Um Natal Raro donation campaign. During this period, 78 kilos of non-perishable food, 203 units of personal hygiene products, 23 toys, 140 children's books and magazines, 67 pairs of shoes and 60 pieces of clothing were collected. All donations were destined to ABAMPS and delivered on Christmas Day Rare.

The A Rare Christmas campaign is the result of a solidary partnership between the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública and ABAMPS, which aims to support the NGO in its actions, in order to better serve children and patients with rare diseases throughout Bahia.
