Be Bahiana for a day | Mercês College

High school students from Colégio Nossa Senhora das Mercês visited the Cabula Academic Unit, on September 4, as part of the program "Being Bahiana for a day". The initiative aims to support the work of professional guidance of secondary education institutions, providing students with information about the courses offered by the Bahiana and contact with the institution's academic environment.
The group, composed of 27 students and the high school advisor, Prof. Helena Cristina do Vale, participated in lectures by the coordinator of the Biomedicine course, Geraldo Ferraro, the professor of the Psychology course, Marta Vanessa, the professor of the course of Physiotherapy, Luciana Oliveira, Professor of Nursing, Cristiane Magali and Professor of the Dentistry Course, Emília Ramos.
The program also included the demonstration of practical activities carried out by students from the Bahiana, Eduardo Xavier Araújo de Oliveira, Paulo da Costa Fontana, Lucas Pereira Ferreira and Márcia Dantas, representatives of the Academic League of Clinical Anatomy.
The group also carried out a guided visit to the anatomy laboratory of the Bahiana, with the support of the embalmer Evaldo Jesus dos Santos and the laboratory technician, Vanda Invenção. The group was also accompanied by the pedagogue from the Pedagogical Supervision Nucleus, Marcia Assis and the assistant at the Institutional Relationship Nucleus, Queise Bahia.
