Launch of the book Health Profession Psychology: from training to professional practice

A chat with the organizers of the book "Psicologia Profissão de Saúde: from training to professional practice", Mônica Ramos Daltro, coordinator of the Psychology course at Bahiana and Carlos Alberto Ferreira Danon, professor of the course, filled the Livraria Cultura theater on the night of August 26, marking the launch of the publication. The director of the Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, the coordinator of People Development, Prof. Luiza Ribeiro, coordinators of undergraduate courses, teachers, students, school nucleus managers, as well as family members, friends and guests of the authors.

The book brings texts that are the result of the process of reflection and construction of the new academic curriculum of the Psychology course in Bahiana. With professors and academics as authors, the publication addresses various perspectives of psychologist training through Bahiana, like the teaching-learning process by the PBL method (Problem Based Learning - Problem Based Learning); internship in psychology; community mental health care from the internship practice; care for patients with obesity; psychoanalyst training; clinical listening; the role of psychopedagogical care in the training of psychologists; contribution of cognitive-behavioral therapy; practices with users of alcohol and other drugs and race relations in teaching psychology. "The book reflects a little of the dynamics of 'all together and mixed', within the perspective of building the curriculum of the Psychology course in Bahiana"justifies Prof. Carlos Danom on the variety of themes.

"In 2009, we were invited to reflect the psychologist training curriculum in Bahiana. From this reflective process, with which teachers and students collaborated, this book was born", Prof. Mônica Daltro tells a little about the history of the publication.

The autograph session by the organizers opened with a joint performance by the choirs Canta Bahiana and Ars Cantandi, conducted by conductor Carlos Veiga.
