Bahiana hosts state event

On August 23, the Cabula Academic Unit hosted Interpet Bahia 2014, an event that brought together groups from the Tutorial Education Program from across the state of Bahia. Organized by PET Biomedicina and PET Odonto da Bahiana, the meeting was well rated, according to 79% of the participants who considered it excellent, and the other 21% rated it as good.

According to the coordinator of PET Biomedicina, Prof. Sidney Santana, "The organization of events of this type develops standards of quality and excellence in the Petians, of a collective and interdisciplinary nature. It instructs students to be organized, responsible, to coordinate groups, lead, solve problems, in addition to training their oratory, as the entire event is managed by them, thus encouraging the training of highly qualified professionals".

The event was attended by PET teachers and students from the cities of Feira de Santana, Porto Seguro, Vitória da Conquista, Cruz das Almas, Amargosa, Cachoeira and Salvador. "The holding of this event is important for the Bahiana, as it grants him greater visibility in the Bahian scene", says Prof. Sidney.

According to him, "the participation of students in Tutorial Education Programs is of paramount importance to complement their academic training, since everyone must go through the TEACHING, RESEARCH AND EXTENSION tripod, being, therefore, a group that has subsidies to differentiate it and making you more prepared for the future and for the labor market".
