Bahiana is featured in VIII ENFISM

Bahiana was a highlight winning awards at the VIII Northeastern Meeting of Physiotherapy in Women's Health (ENFISM) and the 16st Northeastern Meeting of Physiotherapy in Men's Health (ENFISH), events that took place simultaneously on August 17th and XNUMXth, in Recife-PE. On the occasion, the coordinator of the research group “Victing Disorders and Female Genitals” and of the Pelvic Floor Care Center (CAAP), the professor of the Physiotherapy course, Dr. Patrícia Lordêlo, presented a lecture on the use of radiofrequency in dysfunctions pelvic

Former student of the Physiotherapy course, Cristina Brasil, the master's student in Technology and Health, Tâmara Goes, and the students of the 8th semester of the Physiotherapy course, Larissa Correia, Mariane Dantas, Hortência Amorim and Daiane Fernandes, also presented works.

On the occasion, the group presented eight works, seven in poster format and one oral presentation. In which they received awards in 3 of the 8 works presented. The awardees were:

1st place poster: "Genital self-image and sexual function in women", authored by a physical therapist who graduated from Bahiana, Cristina Brasil together with the teacher at Bahiana and Master's student in Health Technologies, Patrícia Martins, with the professor of the Psychology course, Marta Castro and Prof.ª Patrícia Lordêlo. The study had the support of Larissa Correia, Mariane Dantas, Hortência Amorim and Daiane Fernandes, Physiotherapy undergraduate students and FAPESB and scholarship holders. Bahiana, and by Tâmara Gomes, a physiotherapist who graduated from Bahiana and master's degree in Technologies and Health.

3st place poster: "Radiofrequency in the genital region: a randomized clinical trial". The study has as authors Cristina Brasil, Mariana Robatto (master physiotherapist in Medicine and Human Health), Juliana Menezes (physiotherapist, graduate and master in Health Technologies), Maria Clara Pavie (physiotherapist and graduate from Bahiana), Marair Sartori (gynecologist and professor at UNIFESP) and Patrícia Lordêlo.

3rd place oral presentation: "Sexual function after genital radiofrequency: a randomized clinical trial", whose authors are Cristina Brasil, Juliana Menezes, Mariana Robatto, Maria Clara Pavie, Patrícia Lordêlo.
