For the second time present at the Scientific and Cultural Exhibition of Bahiana (MCC), the Popular Health Education Tent brought Integrative and Complementary Practices in Health (PICs) as the theme of this edition. Held between October 5th and 6th, at the Cabula Academic Unit, MCC brought together science, art, health and social transformation in its spaces.

Rounds of conversations, toré, care corridor, bioenergetic analysis and a variety of individual care, such as: Auriculotherapy, Reiki, Massage Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Biomagnetic Therapy and Mindfulness composed the tent's programming, which aimed to disseminate the Practices Integrative and Complementary and discuss the importance of their insertion in health services.

The coordinator of the tent and professor of the Biomedicine course, Renata Roseghini, highlighted the importance of including PICs in formal education and the relevance of the tent for the exhibition. "The Tent of Popular Education in Health is of paramount importance for the promotion of integrative and complementary practices at all levels, teaching, research, assistance and extension".

The fourth semester student of the Psychology course, Mariana Amorim, reported that it was quite satisfactory to participate in aromatherapy. “I took aromatherapy for the first time, I chose this practice because it drew more attention to me, I really liked the feeling because it was an integral holistic medicine. I believe that activities like this, at MCC, are essential to give visibility and accessibility to integrative and complementary health practices," he concluded.
