Biomedicine Course holds another edition of Ciência com Acarajé

On March 20, students and professors of the Biomedicine course, employees of the Bahiana and students from higher and secondary education institutions participated in the VIII Ciência com Acarajé, which took place at the Cabula Academic Unit. In this edition, the initiative promoted by PET Biomedicina brought the speaker Luiz Fernando Quintanilha de Mesquita. On the occasion, he addressed the topic “Stem cells in the treatment of liver diseases: the role of oxidative stress”.

Science with Acarajé aims to provide the academic public, professors, employees, high school students and the local community with more information about the state of science in the State of Bahia and the most current research in Brazil and the world, providing lectures with researchers and scholars on various scientific topics of great relevance to human health, the environment and other areas of knowledge.
