Folha de São Paulo University Ranking chooses the Medicine course at Bahiana as the best in the North, Northeast and Central West and one of the five best in Brazil

Physiotherapy and Biomedicine courses were also highlighted.

Among all private institutions in Brazil, the Medicine course at Bahiana It was considered one of the five best in the country and ranked first not only in the state of Bahia, but throughout the North, Northeast and Center West, both among public and private institutions. This is what the Folha 2023 University Ranking (RUF) reveals, promoted by the Folha de São Paulo newspaper, released this month. Considering the universe of 350 courses offered by public and private Brazilian institutions, the Medicine course at Bahiana reached 32nd place.

Also in first place are Physiotherapy and Biomedicine courses among all public and private courses in the North, Northeast and Central West, with Physiotherapy still occupying first place considering public and private courses in the South region of Brazil. Physiotherapy also won third place among all national private institutions and was 16th among the 700 courses offered by Brazilian public and private institutions. In turn, the Biomedicine course reached 4th place among private institutions in Brazil and 17th position considering all public and private institutions in the country, in a universe of 500 courses offered.

The other courses in the Bahiana, Physical Education, Nursing, Dentistry and Psychology stood out among the top 10 among all public and private schools in Bahia. The data collected by the Folha team, which makes up the RUF, comes from national and international databases of scientific journals, patents, Inep-MEC (Censo da Educação Superior and Enade) databases, state and federal agencies that promote science and in national opinion polls carried out by Datafolha.
