Victoria Faustino da Silva Reis, freshman in Biomedicine, says that she had contact with biomedicine in a professional journey in which she participated while still as a high school student: "I really enjoyed having participated in the experience and started to research more about Biomedicine, I signed up in the entrance exam, I participated in the experience and then I fell in love... And I discovered that that was exactly what I wanted". During her visit to the fair, Victoria says that she was more sympathetic to the areas of parasitology and infectious diseases. "Because I can imagine myself working in a laboratory, developing research, publishing articles, traveling to find out more... These are things that I identify with", he explains.
Isadora Gabriele Souza, also a freshman, says that she has already studied Engineering, Law and is now in Biomedicine: "I had already studied Biomedicine before, but I didn't get to do it. However, when I went to research more, I found that I wanted a field that would work with research, laboratory, so I ended up here. And the fair exceeded my expectations because, in the experience, we see things, but really 'from above'. Here we see more deeply".
"Biomedicine was my ideal choice, because I wanted to work more in the health area and, as I knew that Bahiana had more tradition, I decided to come here. Today I chose to do research, because I have this desire to do science and be a professor. Who knows right here from the Bahiana?", declares the 7th semester student João Souza.
"Even though we already know about the areas, it's good to come to know more. We arrived here and saw new things, so it's really always good to participate in these events", said Nívea Maria Moura de Oliveira, 6th semester of the Biomedicine course at Uninssau . Students from UCSal, UNIFACS, UNEB and Unirb were also present.
Biomedicine professionals can now work in research centers, clinics, laboratories, blood banks, assisted human reproduction centers, technical expertise, hospitals and other public and private health institutions.
