Biomedicine students present work at XXII RAIC

Fiocruz event offers awards to Biomedicine students.

Fiocruz Bahia held the XXII Annual Scientific Initiation Meeting from 15 to 17 September. The meeting aims to provide an opportunity for exposition and discussion of the work of Scientific Initiation (IC) and Technological Initiation (IT) scholarship holders, to assess the development of projects, also promoting the exchange of experiences between students, researchers and other Fiocruz professionals.


On the occasion, the 4th semester student of Biomedicine, Filipe Rocha Lima received an honorable mention for the quality of the work "EVALUATION OF ANTI-Mce1A ANTIBODIES AS POTENTIAL SEROLOGICAL BIOMARKERS FOR DISTINCTION OF CLINICAL FORMS OF LEPROSY", supervised by Prof. Dr. Sérgio Arruda and M.Sc. LukaryTakenami.


The graduating student, Heloíse Sampaio da Costa, received the award for the best work "Copper Nanocoposites for the Treatment of Tegumentary Leshimaniasis", in the egress student category, having as advisor Dr. Camila Indiani de Oliveira, a Biomedicine professor and researcher at FIOCRUZ. .
