More than 100 students from Biomedicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Psychology, Dentistry and Occupational Therapy courses at Bahiana participated, last Saturday, May 26, in the Health Fair of the Teaching-Assistance Ambulatory of Bahiana that took place in the Parish of Our Lady of Brotas, from 8 pm to 16 pm.

Divided into groups, the students, supervised by teachers, performed various medical consultations and promoted education and health promotion activities. Among the services provided to the community, blood pressure measurements were carried out with guidance on the prevention and control of arterial hypertension in 188 people; 18 capillary blood glucose tests and 226 anti-hepatitis C tests.

Para o cálculo do Índice de Massa Corporal (IMC) - para prevenção e controle da obesidade; teste rápido para diagnóstico da Hepatite C e atividades lúdicas para crianças e adolescentes -,  foram avaliadas 230 pessoas, sendo 43 homens e 187 mulheres. Também foram atendidas mulheres para o exame de citologia vaginal, cujos resultados foram entregues no dia 26 de maio, no ADAB/Brotas.

The project “Ver Melhor”, from Hospital Humberto Castro Lima /IBOPC, also participated with a group of residents who underwent visual acuity exams.
