Scientific work of Bahiana is awarded in Brazilian Congress

Medical students win an award at the IX Brazilian Congress of Accidents and Traffic Medicine.

It is with great joy that the Bahiana parabeniza os estudantes de Medicina Igor Ribeiro, Inaiah Muritiba Sampaio, Rafael Marcelino Oliveira (5º semestre) e o Major Jair Pereira do SALVAR pelo trabalho científico “Perfil Epidemiológico e Clínico das Vítimas por Acidente de Trânsito na cidade de Salvador- Ba”. O estudo foi premiado com o segundo lugar no IX Congresso Brasileiro de Acidentes e Medicina de Tráfego que aconteceu nos dias 8, 9 e 10 de setembro, na cidade de Porto Seguro.

the students of Bahiana they were the only students to present a work at the Congress that was aimed at doctors from all over Brazil with research from major universities and medical schools, such as USP. “Both the first and third place were master's dissertations and the second place was ours. This is the great reason for considering this second place as a first”, celebrates the Professor of First Aid, André Zimmermann, supervisor of the work.

The presentation was made by student Igor Ribeiro. In the research, data provided by SALVAR (Accident and Rescue Victims Service and Movement) of the Bahia Fire Department were used, in a partnership between the Bahiana this important Pre-Hospital Care Service.
