Characteristics: it is a fast-growing tree, reaching 10m to 20m in height, with a root system that can reach depths of up to 15m.

Uses: It has been used for centuries in India as a medicinal plant, a shade plant and more recently as an insecticide, in the production of wood and cosmetics. Furthermore, it is used for afforestation of streets and squares.
