Characteristics: in their natural habitat, individuals of this species can reach up to 40m in height. The leaves contain various flavonoids such as quercetin, various tannins such as punicalin, punicalagin, saponins and phytosterols. It is still found in coastal areas of several tropical countries.

Uses: The beach almond leaf is used in the production of antiviral and anti-inflammatory medicines.
