Sustainability, solidarity economy and altruism. This is the tripod pillar of the Consumo Consciente project, an initiative of the Young Apprentices of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública que, desde 2018, beneficia instituições de acolhimento, em Salvador. The delivery was attended by administrative assistant Michelle Oliveira da Silva and Human Resources analyst, Maynês Aragão, both linked to the Strategic Management of People and Organizational Learning (GEPAP), in addition to three members who represented the entire Group of Young Apprentices at Bahiana.

Due to the sanitary restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, it was not possible to hold the Conscious Consumption Fair, which takes place every year under the organization of young apprentices from Bahiana. The Fair exhibits products collected through donations of objects in good condition, made by employees and students of the institution, to be sold at affordable prices. The amount collected is always destined to charities. In the last edition, a refrigerator was donated to the Home for Elderly Love and Life.

Located in Acupe de Brotas, the institution Home Love and Life it assists abandoned children and elderly people in situations of vulnerability and continues to receive donations of food, clothing and hygiene products.
