Bahiana receives representatives from the Universidad de Guadalajara

Meeting with professors made it possible to plan partnership actions between the two institutions.

The partnership between Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública and the Universidad de Guadalajara, recently signed, is in the planning stage for the offer of curricular components in exchange and distance learning modality by both institutions, as early as 2019. Accompanied by the manager of the Institutional Relationship and Internationalization Center of the Bahiana (REAII), Antonieta Araújo, the visitors met with the dean of the institution, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, and participated in meetings with representatives of Graduate and Undergraduate.

The first meeting, held on Campus Brotas, had the participation of the coordinators of the Master's courses in Medicine and Human Health, Dr. Ana Marice Ladeia and Health Technologies, Dr. Marcos Almeida, of the Deans of Undergraduate and Graduate Teaching, Maria de Lourdes Freitas Gomes and of Extension, Carolina Pedroza, in addition to other members of the Graduate Program.

In the afternoon, the visitors were at Campus Cabula for a meeting with the coordinators of the Nursing courses, Simone Passos, and Psychology, Sylvia Barreto. The program included a guided tour of the facilities of the academic unit.
        
During the meetings, the curricular matrices of the Undergraduate and Graduate courses at the Mexican women were presented to the Mexican women. Bahiana. In turn, Estela Maricela spoke about disciplines and projects developed by the Universidad de Guadalajara. According to Estela Maricela, “the idea is to promote internationalization between the two institutions, through exchanges between students and the offer of disciplines in distance learning for academics who do not have the possibility to carry out mobility”.

The REAII manager says that, initially, the working group is studying the possibility of Bahiana to offer Mexican academics the subjects of Methodology and Scientific Writing. On the other hand, the Universidad de Guadalajara will offer the disciplines of Epidemiology and Social Determinants of Health.
