Urinary dysfunctions, commonly associated with urinary incontinence, are causes of significant kidney damage and are associated with worsening quality of life and psychological changes in children. It is in this sense that the Urology discipline of BAHIANA, vai realizar o I Encontro Internacional de Urologia Pediátrica, trazendo um dos maiores especialistas do mundo no assunto, o Dr. Piet Hoebeke, Chefe do Serviço de Urologia da Universidade de Ghent na Bélgica. O evento será realizado no campus da BAHIANA in Nazaré, on March 15 (Monday), from 19:15h to 22:00h.

Topics such as nocturnal enuresis, neurogenic bladder and voiding dysfunction will be discussed. This event also marks the commemoration of 2 years of existence of CEDIMI (Centre for Disturbances in Child Urination), which has been standing out for its assistance and research on the subject.
