World Health Day is celebrated on April 7, the founding anniversary of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Every year, WHO promotes awareness-raising actions on a specific topic related to current health demands. In 2017, the date will be marked by the debate about a disease that affects about 350 million people around the world: depression.
Entitled "Let's talk" ("Let's talk"), the campaign reaffirms the importance of sharing experiences and knowledge about the disease. Depression is curable and reducing the stigma associated with it is a key step for more and more people to be able to speak openly and seek professional help.
