On September 29th and 30th, the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública receberá o XV Encontro Nacional de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa das Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) Particulares e IX Fórum de Extensão das IES - FOREXP. O evento acontecerá no Centro de Convenções da Bahiana, at the Cabula Academic Unit. In this edition, the theme "Postgraduate, Research and Extension - Perspectives for its Consolidation in Private HEIs" will be discussed, having as target audience representatives, coordinators and postgraduate professors from higher education institutions.

The opening of the event takes place on September 29, at 9 am and will feature the participation of Prof. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, director of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública; Dr. Cícero Ivan Ferreira Gontijo, director-superintendent of FUNADESP; Prof. Núbia Maria Vasconcelos Maciel, dean of Postgraduate Studies, Research and Extension at the University of Amazônia-UNAMA/PA and national coordinator of the Network of Postgraduate and Research Directors of Private HEIs – PGP Network; of Prof. Luis Fernando Vitorino, coordinator of University Extension at Centro Universitário de Barra Mansa/RJ and president of the Private HEI Extension Forum – FOREXP and Prof. Kátia Nunes Sá, coordinator of Postgraduate Studies at Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública/BA.

Since the beginning of the 2000s, the National Foundation for the Development of Private Higher Education – Funadesp promotes national meetings of postgraduate, research and extension directors of private HEIs, creating a favorable environment for analysis and debates regarding their development and perspectives. .

As of 2007, such meetings began to be held in a single event, based on the premise that postgraduate studies, research and extension constitute dimensions of higher education to be developed in an integrated manner.
