A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. Conduct poetry in different institutional environments, leading those who circulate there to enjoy this art in the most varied ways. This is the idea of ​​the Poetry Circuit of Bahiana, whose 9th edition was held on March 26th, at Campus Brotas, and April 2, at Campus Cabula. Despite being aimed at letters, the event also includes musical performances and other forms of artistic language. The Poetry Circuit is an initiative of Bahiana, coordinated by the Psychopedagogical Care Center (NAPP), led by psychologist Angélica Mendes. She explains that, in addition to promoting the appreciation of poetry, the action encourages the appreciation of the house's talents, featuring productions by academics, teachers and collaborators. 1st semester Psychology student Mariana Cajado gave a musical performance on Campus Brotas. “Poetic texts are a form of therapy. When I went to therapy, I showed my poems. I think this event is also very valid for our training, because, for psychologists, it is very important to learn to interpret”. According to Luiza Salgado, also a 1st semester Psychology student, events, such as the Poetry Circuit, are essential in academic training. “Art is the most intrinsic thing in us to express our feelings. Even those who don't produce art experience it by listening to music, reading a poem. Art is in our daily lives”, declared Luiza, who is already preparing her band’s presentation for the August of the Arts of Bahiana.

IX Poetry Circuit

Music, poetry, theater, crafts, embroidery, drawing, photography and another diversity of artistic languages ​​marked the 2023 edition of the August of the Arts, which took place on the 29th and 30th, at Campus Brotas, and on the 31st, at the Campus Cabula da Bahiana. The event, which takes place annually, is organized by the Nucleus for Psychopedagogical Attention (NAPP) and, this year, students, teachers and employees participated who were able to show some of their artistic productions to the institution's community. In preparation for the event, vacancies were offered, free of charge, for workshops in various artistic languages, which took place from August 22nd to 25th. Renata Berenstein, a psychologist at NAPP, highlighted the importance of student participation in organizing the event. “The student committee was super important for the great participation of the public. Many students signed up for the workshops and, when visiting the exhibition spaces, joined the movement, participating with their creations”. Medicine course professor Ieda Aleluia, who participated in the event with an exhibition of watercolors, highlighted the relationship between the arts and health education: “Art saves! Art makes you connect with yourself and the world. It is a form of expression and care”. Student Isadora Pires de Oliveira, who participated with an embroidery stand, says that her relationship with art began in the pandemic, as a refuge: “As a student, it is clear that there are a series of benefits, we feel more comfortable with ourselves. itself, has more connection with the present, with our subjective, our singular. Particularly, I felt a great reduction in anxiety, an immense relaxation”.

August of the Arts mobilizes audiences on campuses Brotas and Cabula

The Psychopedagogical Care Center of the Bahiana (NAPP) held, on March 28, at Campus Brotas, and on April 4th, at Campus Cabula, the VIII Circuito de Poesia, receiving students and alumni poets as guests. Despite revolving around poetry, the initiative also contemplates other languages, such as music. In addition to musical performances and recitation of poems, the two academic units had a poetry line as an artistic installation. on campus Brotas, participated, at the invitation of the NAPP, the poet Heloísa Lima, the former student of the Psychology course Táina Sena, the student of the 3rd semester of Psychology at Bahiana Gabriel Nabuco and the poet and guitarist Diego Santana. Heloísa and Diego joined the poet and professor of Biomedicine Luiz Paulo Pires for the edition of Circuito that took place at Campus Cabula. Both events also had a conversation circle with the participation of students and employees who reflected on the importance of poetry and the arts in their lives, in addition to presenting their own compositions.

The event took place between March and April on the campuses Brotas and Kabula.

VIII Poetry Circuit starts this Tuesday (28)

The art of poetry was celebrated once again in Bahiana, with the holding of the VII Poetry Circuit, which this year took place from March 14 to 18 in remote format. The Circuit started on March 14, in honor of the birthday of the Bahian poet Castro Alves. The action, which takes place annually, is an initiative of the Center for Psychopedagogical Attention of the Bahiana (NAPP). Collaborators and teachers recited poems by themselves and by Brazilian and foreign authors, whose recording, on video, was presented in classrooms by teachers and sent to managers in all areas, throughout the week, in addition to having a <a style="color: #3598db; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://bit.ly/EB7poesia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">playlist</a> Special. The video exhibition was released on the institution's official YouTube channel.
