All eight abstracts submitted by the Center for Pelvic Floor Care (CAAP) at Bahiana to the International Continence Society (ICS) 2023 were approved. The international event takes place annually in the city of Toronto, Canada and, this year, it was held from September 27th to 29th.

Led by professor Patrícia Lordelo, professor of the Master's and Doctorate programs in Medicine and Human Health and Professional Master's in Health Technologies at Bahiana, CAAP specializes in excellent multidisciplinary care aimed at diagnosis and treatment, in addition to the prevention of pelvic kinetic-functional dysfunctions in men, women, children and care for pregnant women in the pre and postpartum period.

The Center is also a research center certified by CNPq and today offers multidisciplinary care with doctors, physiotherapists and psychologists. Made up of teachers, students and researchers, its team seeks what is best for the patient, following evidence-based medicine.
