A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 10 laboratories, 21 rooms of class e 1 auditorium to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 30 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a practical field for the quality training of Dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors, and which has capacity to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously, and Ontological clinic, providing private and accessible service to the population, performed by highly qualified professionals. <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://en.bahiana.edu.br/laboratorios-de-ensino-campus-cabula/">Discover the teaching laboratories.</a>

Conscious Consumption Fair

A Bahiana has just received the Green Energy Certificate granted by the Neoenergia Group, as it began to consume from sources with low environmental impact (solar energy, wind, biomass and low-impact hydroelectric plants), that is, it stopped purchasing from the captive market and started consuming of the free energy market. To enter the free energy market, the Bahiana needed to carry out minor adaptations, such as adjustments to campus substations Brotas and Cabula. The institution was able to enter this market because it had a contracted demand of around 800KW, uniting the two campuses. Entering the free energy market brought some benefits, in addition to the low environmental impact, such as an economic estimate of R$1,5 million over 5 years. In addition to promoting financial savings with expenses in this sector, the measure integrates a series of actions aimed at institutional sustainability and promoting environmental preservation, with the adoption of collaborative policies, such as the composting carried out at the Cabula Campus and the campaign "Adopt your cup", in which students, teachers and employees were encouraged to use reusable bottles, cups and mugs, avoiding waste with disposable plastic cups.

Bahiana receives Green Energy Certificate

Foster an entrepreneurial culture and the Serving value of Bahiana. This is the objective of the Conscious Consumption Fair, promoted annually by young apprentices from Bahiana, which took place on 08/08, at Campus Brotas, and 11/08, at the Cabula Campus. During the two days, the space sold products donated by collaborators and students of the Bahiana. The amount raised from sales will be donated to charities, yet to be defined. The Conscious Consumption Fair was attended by many students, employees and community members Bahiana. According to the institution's HR analyst, Luana Sorrilha, the campaign is a way of raising awareness in the Community Bahiana, to benefit social institutions. The event had its first edition held in 2018, when young apprentices participated in a presentation by the Committee Bahiana Verde and, from that first contact, they voluntarily idealized the initiative.

Young apprentices promote Conscious Consumption Fair of Bahiana

The Committee Bahiana Verde promotes organic compost donation action in March, at Campus Brotas and at Campus Cabula, with the aim of drawing the attention of students, professors and employees of Bahiana to change ideas in favor of sustainability. With the return of classes in person, the initiative also aims to sensitize the community to the need to reduce the production of waste, encouraging the habit of recycling and home composting. The action seeks to increase the visibility of the School's environmental policy, involving the academic community in the actions of the Bahiana Verde. In particular, it presents the Program to freshmen, favoring their setting in a creative and loving way. "The period during the pandemic, when everyone was further away, also served to reflect on environmental issues more constantly", explained Alana Araújo, from the administrative sector of the Library and who is helping the action. Therefore, at this time of recovery, the campaign reinforces the positive message in relation to the environment and promotes contact with nature. The kits donated to students, teachers and employees in the technical-administrative area contain 1 kg of organic fertilizer, resulting from the collection of leaves and fruits from the green areas of the Bahiana during the period of the pandemic. 24m³ of compost was produced, which corresponds to two earthen buckets. Arranged in windrows on the Cabula Campus, the constant collection of organic material will enable the installation of permanent donation points throughout the school year. In the first week, around 900 kits were distributed on both campuses. The composting campaign also makes an analogy to planting new ideas and a new beginning, so the stand of Bahiana Verde, installed in the institution's courtyards, makes the fertilizers available to all interested parties, so that they can get closer, get to know the action and feel free to participate in the initiative. The next days of the campaign will be: March 16th and 18th.

The initiative aims to draw the attention of the community of Bahiana to change ideas in favor of sustainability.
